In 2007, Ryland Homes launched Energy Advantage™ strategic environmental initiative to focus on the challenge of becoming a leading environmentally friendly company and to create a companywide culture of sustainability. This initiative builds on our longstanding commitment to the environment and sustainability.

We believe that the homebuilding industry has an opportunity to effect meaningful change regarding the impact of new home construction on the environment and that it is the responsibility of every homebuilder to begin that process. The goal of Energy Advantage is to look for opportunities to create systemic change throughout our organisation, building on the successes and learnings we have had with sustainable efforts and pilot programs with many of our partners.
